Connecting

Had a beautiful read yesterday morning and l have to say l thought about it a lot since then conscious and unconsciously. The piece had been on my mind and made me question a lot of things.

First of all..., it made sense...

Never did l realize that when l am faced with the trying times of life and wanted answers, it is a message from God. I know this happens to open some questions as to ,’so God caused all this so that you can go and reconnect with Him’. It is understandable, but that’s a subject for another day and as the Bible say, we cannot question God.

The clear thing here is when faced by tribulations, we all try to find peace amongst the storm, usually convinced to read the Bible and pray. This is when people pray the hardest but to some who had fallen out, it means you just have arrived at an important Journey back to God.

I am a religious person yes but sometimes l fall short, skip days of praying and reading the Bible. I skip days off my devotions and looking at the many days l need to recover may even make me more tired and l end up not doing anything. The longing l have for the refreshment l get when l connect in the morning will not pass though, pushing me to be more serious, switch everything off if need be so l don’t get distracted. Now l know, from the piece that it is God sending the messages, that l should reconnect with Him.

Questions l wasn’t ready for which slapped me hard in the face where asked....,

Do you ever have the feeling that you are chasing something in life that won’t fully satisfy you?

Do you ever long for a love so deep and satisfying, longing to give yourself to something that will truly make a difference ? Do you seek answers to life’s most difficult questions??

Have you knocked on a door of some self desctructive behavior or been in a relationship for just the sake of it, the disappointment you inevitably feel in the cheap substitutes? ( wow rude. :-(

All this will make you wonder where you can find real love, peace amongst other answers you are looking for.

The Piece concludes that there is only 2 things to do, 1. to continue searching and longing for these things alone, 2. or look to one who gave you the longing in the 1st place

...

Bear in mind that What we long for, God doesn’t just have but actually God is.

Suddenly, just like that, light bulb-all things make sense...

I still have questions though, but one day at a time :)
